At Reach for the Stars, we love our rooms to be full of happy, healthy and vibrant children, bursting with energy and vitality . . . and we believe nutrition and the quality of the food we serve has an essential part to play!
As the rate of growth during the early years of a child’s life is relatively rapid, we place a great emphasis on nutrition. Seasonal menus are carefully planned in consultation with nutritionists, and freshly prepared by our cooks on the premises in our state of the art kitchens. In addition to a wholesome lunch, our children are offered breakfast, morning tea, afternoon tea and a late afternoon snack.
As most children develop lifelong eating habits by school age, we believe in educating children about food to encourage them to make healthy food choices for themselves. This is achieved through initiatives such as our Gardeners Club, where children are involved in planting and collecting fresh produce, as well as being involved in cooking experiences during cultural celebrations to make the delicious meal of the day! Meals are served in dining rooms so that children grasp key skills, such as setting the table, serving food, sharing in conversation and clearing away after themselves.
Our commitment to serving delicious healthy, balanced and nutritious foods ensures that your child has all the nutritional requirements they need for a busy day of play, learning, growth and development.
